Back pain #6630

Adding as much as 18 oz. of fish such as salmon, haddock, cod or other to your weekly meal plan can alleviate back pain by 33% in 7 days, report researchers in the Journal Advances in Therapy. Fish is packed with healthy fats – EPA and DHA – that calm the nerves that carry pain signals to the brain and boost circulation so nutrients-rich blood can reach the back tissues that need it.

Getting 20 minutes of brisk exercise between dinner and bedtime can cut your risk of sleep disrupting hot flashes by 67%.

Beautify your smile #6616

The juice of the Aloe Vera plant protects against painful gum inflammation caused by gingivitis, say scientists in the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Dentistry. They found that gum inflammation dropped by 42% in thirty days in people who used an Aloe Vera mouthwash twice daily after brushing – an effect comparable to that seen in people who used a prescription rinse. The study authors credit Aloe Vera juice’s antiseptic action and tissue-healing vitamin C.
