Building Endurance #140

If you want to walk or jog for longer periods of time without getting fatigued, continue with a weight-lifting routine.

Lifting weights not only builds strong muscles, but also can improve your aerobic capacity. Improving your aerobic endurance level will enable you to walk, bike, swim, or jog for longer periods of time before exhausting yourself.

Eat more to weigh less! #832

If you want to lose weight permanently, eating several small meals throughout the day to help you with this. Try to eat a small meal consisting of protein, fat, and complex carbohydrate. An example would be; for breakfast 1 hard boiled egg, and an orange, at 10am have a can of tuna on toast, for lunch a Chicken breast and any vegetable, at 2pm have a protein shake, for dinner a chicken breast and vegetable, in the evening have some celery and peanut butter. You get the idea. Avoid sugar, bread, pasta, salt, but not fat.

Add Fitness to your Daily Routine. #716

If you find you can't devote enough time to getting in shape as you would like, there are still plenty of ways you can keep your body active while going about your normal routine.
Try to use stairways instead of elevators whenever possible.
If you can walk there or take a bike, let your body burn energy instead of taking your car.
If you are driving, instead of wasting time looking for a good spot, park further away and walk a couple extra blocks.
Turn your housework into a fitness challenge: Sweep and mop using as much energy as possible, exaggerating your arm movements. Fold your clothes and do a couple sets of squats at the same time. Whatever you're doing try and incorporate in some sort of routine that gets your muscles working and heart rate moving.
And if you absolutely can't miss your favorite show on TV, try doing some sit-ups and push-ups while you watch or during commercials.

Muscle building golden rules #879

When lifting weights always select the right amount of weight, typically you should be able to handle the load for ten to twelve repetitions. Working your muscles that many times build them, lifting something heavy a few times just makes it tired. As a rule if you are not able to lift a weight at least six times is too heavy, if you lift it more than twelve times increase the weight or you are not progressing. Always take 1 minute breaks in between sets. Start with 1 or two sets of the same exercise and grow from there, remember never exercise the same muscles in subsequent days.
