Reality Is in What Is #6400

Instead of asking who has realized or what God is, why not give your whole attention and awareness to what is? Then you will find the unknown; or rather it will come to you. If you understand what is the known, you will experience that extraordinary silence that is not induced, not enforced, that creative emptiness in which alone reality can enter. It cannot come to that which is becoming, which is striving; it can only come to that which is being, which understands what is. Then you will see that reality is not in the distance; the unknown is not far off; it is in what is. As the answer to a problem is in the problem, so reality is in what is; if we can understand it, then we shall know the truth.

Total Abandonment #6426

Perhaps you have never experience that state of mind in which there is total abandonment of everything, a complete letting go. And you cannot abandon everything without deep passion, can you? You cannot abandon everything intellectually or emotionally. There is total abandonment, surely, only when there is intense passion. Don’t be alarmed by that word, because a man who is not passionate, who is not intense, can never understand or feel the quality of beauty. The mind that holds something in reserve, the mind that has a vested interest, the mind that clings to position, power, prestige, the mind that is respectable, which is a horror---such a mind can never abandon itself.

Jiddu Krishnamurti

Meditation for Healing #5989

If you are ill of either the body or mind, meditation can be a useful tool to direct your body's energy to the healing process. Here is a simple healing meditation practice that can be use to relax and heal the mind, body and soul:

Start by finding a comfortable position in which you can sit and relax for a while.

Begin to imagine your body filling with light, starting at you feet and then moving slowly up to the rest of your body.

As the light moves upward, feel how it is relaxing the muscles and your mind.

Imagine that any areas of disease or pain in your body are surrounded by a dark shadow representing the sickness or pain in your body.

Now feel how the light moving upwards is filling up your entire body with light and every muscle of your body is feeling relaxed.

Your body of light now begins to radiate light out from your eyes, and this light is shining as if a torch is coming out from your eyes.

Now you can begin to direct this light and healing energy towards any area of the body that is giving you pain or discomfort. Send the light into the area of darkness surrounding your pain.

As this area continues to receive the loving and healing light the darkness gradually begins to diminish. Repeat the following mantras:

I radiate my shining light to my body and fill myself with this warm healing light.
I now radiate this healing light to the world.
I can feel this healing light is returning me to health and vitality.
Perfect health is available to me now.
