Eliminate Food Odor with Charcoal #59

My mother taught me a foolproof way to keep my refrigerator from smelling like leftover food: charcoal.

I grab a few briquettes from the bag by the grill and put them in a bowl in the back of my refrigerator. The charcoal absorbs any odors, and I just change them every few months. Beats baking soda.

Dosing the Flame #434

After biting into a burning hot chili pepper, try dosing the flames with a sip of milk or a few bites of a dairy product. Using water or soda just opens the taste buds to keep it burning. Also, a sip of an alcoholic drink will lessen the burn, because the alcohol works with the natural protein of the pepper and neutralizes the enzyme casein that is released by the chili.

Get Rid of The Fish Odor When Cooking #3627

So many people wont eat fish, which is healthy, because of the smell when cooking. Soak the fish in milk before cooking and you wont have this problem. I am a Demo Person at a store and I cooked about 22 lbs of frozen fish all day and I had people asking me what I was cooking because there was no smell in the store. They only knew when they saw my sign or I told them.

Flavorful Chicken #237

To make your chicken flavorful without all the fat is to gently pull the skin up from your chicken pieces and season the meat under the skin. After seasoning put the skin back and let stand for 30 minutes. Then place the chicken pieces on the grill and cook then as you normally would, allowing the skin to over-cook and burn. Letting the skin burn will make it easier to pull off the skin, while the meat is protected underneath.
