If you are concerned about pesticides in fresh veggies soak them in a mix of 2 Tbs. of baking soda and 1 cup of water in a bowl for 5 minutes and rinse. Baking soda removes dirt and pesticides.

The solution to tender good waffles #6529
If you feel your waffles recipe is a bit too heavy to serve on a hot morning, swap the milk or buttermilk in the recipe for an equal amount of seltzer. The bubbles in the sip will aerate the batter to give your waffles a tender, fluffy texture.

Cook Corn in their Jackets #6430
When corn is cooked in their husks keep nutrients intact. So instead of going thru the pain of peeling the uncooked, just keep them in their jackets when steaming, microwaving or grilling, then shuck.
