Strength of Realization #318

Just as fog is dispelled by the strength of the sun
and is dispelled no other way,
preconception is cleared by the strength of realization.
There's no other way of clearing preconceptions.
Experience them as baseless dreams.
Experience them as ephemeral bubbles.
Experience them as insubstantial rainbows.
Experience them as indivisible space.

Clinging to Wealth #422

The bliss of a truth-seeking life is attainable for anyone who follows the path of unselfishness. If you cling to your wealth, it is better to throw it away than let it poison your heart. But if you don't cling to it but use it wisely, then you will be a blessing to people. It's not wealth and power that enslave men but the clinging to wealth and power.

Did You Know? #1915

Llamas, Guanaco, alpacas and vicuñas all from South America belong to the camel family and don’t have humps on their backs.

The Persistence of Influence #1684

On the Caribbean Windward Islands lives a strange looking tree, the Divi-Divi tree. Almost all of its branches grow on just one side. Over time, constant winds from the east influence the development of the trees. You can look at a Divi-Divi tree and always know which way is east and west. The winds didn't accomplish their work in a few days. It took time. Time to make a difference. It's the same with people. Making a difference in others doesn't happen suddenly. Sometimes, it takes persistence and time.
