For those ugly yellow stains on clothes. #6548
For a fresh stain: Dab with shampoo and let it sit for a while before washing.
For an older stain, make a paste with 4 digestive-enzyme ground up tablets and 1 tablespoon of water, apply and let is sit for 1 hour before washing.

Keep a dog from getting gassy #6318
Cloud, always gobbles up his food in record time…and ends up with gas. To slow him down place, a clean tennis ball in his dish. The obstruction will force him to eat more slowly so he’ll swallow less gas-causing air. (Based on the size of your dog’s mouth, you may want to use a larger ball to ensure he can’t swallow it.)

Getting rid of or Preventing Roots from Clogging Drains #5773
Professional "rooting" is expensive.
Doing it yourself is messy and time consuming.
Using the recommended chemical root killers hurts the environment.
The solution? Rock salt.
Take an old nylon stocking or panty hose leg. Put a cup or so of rock salt (available at the grocery store) in to the foot. Tie off the leg a little above that and hang in the toilet tank-away from the drain hole but where it will be submerged. Repeat every month or so and forget about roots in the sewer line.
Please note:The only time this advice is safe is in some coastal towns where they discharge their treated effluent into the ocean. There are cities in California that are banning water softeners because of this salt issue.

Ants, in your home? #6377
To get rid of ants for good, fill a few small paper or cotton bags with dry coffee grounds and leave them wherever you have spotted the pests, like inside cabinets or on window seals. The strong aroma of coffee is unbearable to ants and its caffeine is toxic to them, so they’ll stay away. Change the bag as needed.
